This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the PromptSarthi Android application (the “App”) and the website promptsarthi.com (the “Website”), how that information is used, and what choices you have.
PromptSarthi is operated by Kavita, Alwar Rajasthan, India. In this policy “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of PromptSarthi.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App or the Website.
1. What PromptSarthi is
PromptSarthi is a library of written prompts. You browse prompts, copy the text you like, and paste that text into a separate artificial intelligence application of your own choosing, such as ChatGPT or Gemini.
PromptSarthi does not generate images. No artificial intelligence model runs inside the App, and the App does not send your activity to any AI service. Anything you do after copying a prompt happens inside the other application, under that company’s own privacy policy and terms.
2. There is no account
The App does not ask you to register. You do not create an account, and we never ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or any other detail that identifies you personally.
When you first open the App, a random anonymous identifier is created and stored on your device. This identifier is a string of random characters. It is not linked to you, to your Google account, or to any other app on your phone. It exists only so that the App can remember which prompts you liked or saved, and so that a prompt you submit can be matched to the device it came from.
3. Information collected through the App
We collect the following, and nothing more:
- Anonymous device identifier. The random string described above. Used to save your likes, your saved prompts and your submissions.
- Prompts you submit. If you use the Submit feature, the prompt text you write is stored so that it can be reviewed and, if approved, published for other users.
- Reports you send. If you flag a prompt, we store which prompt was flagged and, if you provide one, your reason.
- Basic technical information. Standard information sent by your device when it connects to our servers, such as the app version and general error information, used to keep the App working and to fix crashes.
- Advertising identifier. If the App shows advertisements, Google’s advertising services may access your device’s advertising ID. See section 7.
We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, your files, your call or message history, or your browsing activity in other apps.
4. What we do not do with your information
- We do not sell your information to anyone.
- We do not use it to build an advertising profile of you.
- We do not send you marketing messages, because we have no way to contact you.
- We do not attempt to identify who you are from the anonymous identifier.
5. Clipboard
When you tap Copy, the prompt text is placed on your device’s clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere. This happens locally on your device. We do not read your clipboard, and we do not record what you paste or where you paste it.
6. Where your information is stored
Prompts, likes and submissions are stored using Supabase, a hosted database service, on servers located in [SUPABASE REGION]. Access to this data is restricted, and only the operator of PromptSarthi and authorised reviewers can see submitted prompts awaiting approval.
7. Advertising in the App
The App may display advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To show ads, Google may collect and use your device’s advertising identifier and certain technical information about your device. This is done by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google’s own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time from your Android settings, under Settings → Google → Ads.
PromptSarthi is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed at children.
8. Cookies and advertising on the Website
The Website may use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: to understand how visitors use the site, and to display advertisements.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You may opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the Website may then not work as expected.
9. How long we keep information
Approved prompts remain published until they are removed. Submissions that are rejected are deleted within 90 days. Likes and saved items are kept until you delete them or until you delete your data using the option described below. Technical error information is kept for a short period and then discarded.
10. Deleting your data
You are in control of everything tied to your device.
- Open the App, go to Settings → Delete my data. This permanently deletes the likes, saved items and submissions connected to your device’s anonymous identifier.
- Uninstalling the App removes the anonymous identifier from your device.
- If you want a prompt you submitted to be taken down after it has been published, write to us at [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will remove it.
Because there is no account and no personal detail attached to the identifier, we may be unable to locate your data from an email alone. Using the in-app option is the reliable way to delete it.
11. Children
PromptSarthi is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted content to us, write to [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will remove it.
12. Content submitted by users
Prompts submitted by users are reviewed by us before they become visible to anyone else. Do not include personal information about yourself or about any other person in a prompt you submit. Anything you submit and we approve becomes publicly visible inside the App.
13. Security
We use access controls and encrypted connections to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we collect.
14. Links to other services
The App and the Website may link to other services, including AI applications where you paste prompts. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Please read their policies separately.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced inside the App. Continuing to use PromptSarthi after a change means you accept the updated policy.
